De-icer is designed to float in the water tank and is thermostatically controlled with an automatic shut-off. The cord exits from the top of the unit. This gives the heater added stability and it is less likely to tip the tank.

This 1500 Watt Allied Precision Sinking De-Icer operates at the bottom of the tank where it is less likely to be disturbed by livestock. Thermostatic control coupled with thermal feedback protects the unit from overheating, while positioning the thermostat above the heating element ensures safety in low-water conditions. Each unit comes complete with a galvanized wire guard for use in plastic tanks.

This is an easy to install wire guard by Allied Precision Industries. Which is designed to protect your non-metallic tank from any damage resulting from operation of the de-icer outside of water and in contact with container surface.

With aluminum housing. Little Giant® Trough-O-Matic Float Valves automatically control the water level for most plastic and metal stock tanks, troughs, barrels, and pans. The all-metal valve flows up to 245 gallons per hour and operates at pressure between 20 and 50 psi. Durable aluminum housing with nylon orifice. Accepts a standard 3/4 inch garden hose.
